The Millennium Estoril Open is a prestigious tennis tournament held annually in Estoril, Portugal. It is part of the ATP Tour 250 series and attracts top tennis players from around the world. The event takes place on clay courts, adding a unique dimension to the competition. With its scenic location and competitive lineup, the Millennium Estoril Open is a thrilling and well-regarded stop on the professional tennis circuit.

It was a “once in a lifetime opportunity” when we have been asked by the ATP at the end of 2014 if we would like to take over the Estoril Open in Portugal.
We didn’t hesitate and, together with our partners, we put together the first edition of what is now the most important and largest sporting, social and networking event in Portugal. Since 2015 the tournament is held in Cascais at the Clube de Ténis do Estoril, which is located in a picturesque setting near the beautiful coast and Lisbon, Portugal’s magnificent capital.
Year by year we manage to bring the best and most promising players to Estoril. Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Ben Shelton, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Nick Kyrgios, Dominik Thiem and Frances Tiafoe did all play in sold out sessions with more than 3.500 spectators.

Our tournament director since Day 1 is Joao Zilhão, whose story sounds a bit like a fairy tale. He actually began his career as a ball boy at the inaugural Estoril Open in 1990, and played two editions of the event, which was then held at the Clube de Ténis do Jamor and is now leading a brilliant team of almost 300 crew members during each tournament. 
And while we’re on the subject of telling fairy tales: 2018 another fairy tale became reality. Local hero Joao Sousa won on home soil, celebrating his victory not only with his happy compatriots but also with Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of Portugal.
